HTC EVO View 4G tablet was announced at CTIA 2011

Senin, 18 April 2011

HTC EVO View 4G is the 4G version of therecently announced  HTC Flyer Tablet which was featured last month during MWC. Sprint announced HTC EVO View 4G same time with the announcement of HTC EVO 3D at the same time. It is a 7-inch tablet equipped with the 2.3 version of Android Gingerbread OS,but is not going to be an untouched version of Gingerbread. On top of that there will be HTC’s famous Sense UI which will be of courseoptimized specially for tablets. Still it might not be a good idea for HTC to release such a highly capable tablet with an older version of Android when the market is going to be flooded with Honeycomb tablets at the same time. We can hope that the Sense UI will make up some of the shortcomings of the older OS as HTC has decided to stick with Gingerbread.
The HTC EVO View 4G packs a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon single core processor supported by a sufficient 1 GB of RAM. Gingerbread will run smooth with this system and multitasking should do more than it is used to do. The internal memory of this tablet will have 32 GB, but as usual you can increase it by inserting microSD cards, unlike the newer versions Samsung Galaxy Tabs. As it should be with such specs the HTC EVO View 4G has the completely capability of displaying Flash contents and it’s an experience nothing less to the Flash contents on your PCs or laptops.
The EVO View 4G will have dual cameras: the front facing camera for video chat has 1.3 megapixels and the rear facing camera has 5 megapixels. The display is not very high res (1024×600 pixels) unlike the new Galaxy Tabs or Motorola Xoom, but it should be sufficient for the 7-inch smaller screen which is similar to the older Galaxy Tab. If you are hungry for a higher resolution, you will also have an alternative as this tablet comes with both HDMI port and DLNA connectivity.
The EVO View 4G has a better hotspot capability as it features hotspot capable of connecting 8 devices to the Internet through its fast 4G network though you will need to pay extra $29.99 per month besides your basic packages. Like the EVO 3D, this device will also feature Blockbuster on Demand which will allow you to rent or buy movies online and all movies from this store are specially optimized for mobile devices. HTC EVO View 4G will also feature HTC Scribe with which you will be able to make handwritten notes on anything like PDF files, web-pages, etc. with a digital pen.
Talking of connectivity, this tablet features all of the latest connectivity options such as: Bluetooth 3.0Wi-Fi b/g/n and of course GPS. The battery is also great because it has 4000mAh and this should give you a good back up time. To wrap it up, HTC EVO View 4G recommends itself as a slim, light and also highly fashionable tablet that is going to be released this summer. The bad news is that a price has not been revealed yet.
